Clock DVA. Album Buried Dreams. Buried Dreams Lyrics. La Comtesse de Sang Your seeds of madness The colour of eternity They blossom in torture In an autumn of fear In a harvest of pain In a garden of evil. La Comtesse de Sang Can you recall The faces The bodies The voices The blood that flows each dawn A chemical nightmare Just look in the mirror Stain of your image Burnt into metal.
Buried Dreams is a little harder to digest, but this is Clock DVA's most twisted, dark, and droning album ever. The electronic's are programmed to make very sinister sounds and Adi Newton's monotonous vocals do fit perfectly with the sounds on this album. If this music were any more melodic or danceable, the vocals would be awful. However, given the violent imagery and sound of the album, all components come together to create a theme that could only be described as brooding and scary
Clock DVA started life as a post-punk band in Sheffield, UK, alongside bands such as Cabaret Voltaire, Heaven 17, The Human League and Pulp . Buried Dreams is, if I have permission to apply such a term here, atmospheric. Many samples populate the album, and softly blended, sinister vocals. It has an ambient feel at times, but has far too much of a sense of rhythm and melody to be simply labelled that.
Buried Dreams is the fourth studio album by Clock DVA, released in 1989 through Wax Trax! Records. Some of the tracks feature audio samples from the film Klute. All lyrics written by Adi Newton; all music composed by Clock DVA. Side one. No.
