Holy Pinto does not stick to one style, arrangement or vibe on their debut album, ‘Congratulations’. The first song, ‘Matches’, starts slow but builds to a Jukebox the Ghost type crescendo. The second song, ‘Hospital Room’, is speedy and melodic. This 2-song dynamic carries the first half of the album. One song is slow and slightly dull; the next is high-energy and melody. With its guitar-driven verses, big drum sound, and layered vocals, ‘Phantom Limb’ is something different. This song breaks up the 2-song structure and throws everything into a four-minute package.
Holy Pinto is the charming indie-pop band of Canterbury duo Aymen Saleh and Ryan Hurley. In late 2013 after leaving University, the long-time school-friends rented a dark, damp, ominous room in an old abandoned cotton-mill in Manchester, and took to writing and recording music. After putting some demos online, they released their first official EP Stenography in 2015 and started touring heavily behind it; building the foundations of a passionate, loyal following and a family of friends in the process. They now turn to release their debut album Congratulations.

Holy Pinto are a quirky indie-pop/punk two-piece from Canterbury, England. Formed in late 2013 during the dusk of their time at college, the longtime school-friends decided to hole themselves up in an abandoned mill in The Smiths’ hometown of Manchester and start writing music together. Inspired by bands such as The Front Bottoms, Death Cab For Cutie and Say Anything, they penned an erratically diverse set of songs; from happy to sad, from aggressive to breezy.
