Tommy "The Nightmare" Smith is a British musician and disc jockey who hosts the Los Santos based classic rock radio station K-DST. He is voiced by Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose. Smith is the former frontman of 1970s progressive rock act Crystal Ship (which is also the title of a song by The Doors), and it is fairly obvious from listening to his radio broadcasts that he thought pretty highly of the group, especially his contributions to it (despite the callers to his station thinking otherwise)

Leogun Interview: Tommy Smith. The three-piece London band Leogun are the latest members of the 21st century British Invasion and they are determined to bring hard-edge rock ‘n roll back to the forefront of the music world. From their engaging onstage presence to the imagery behind their half-man half-lion moniker, Leogun (comprised of Tommy Smith on guitar and vocals, Matt Johnson on bass and Mike Lloyd on drums) pride themselves on being one of the blues-influenced bands of today’s underground rock scene that is determined to break through. Other than that, I have some point where I get off stage and don’t remember the last 40 minutes of my life. Have the songs featured on the album been in your repertoire for a long time, or did you write them for the album? Half and half, really.

Tommy Smith - Saxophonist, Scottish National Jazz Orchestra'nın gönderisini paylaştı. 2 Aralık 2017 ·. Scottish National Jazz Orchestra, 3 yeni fotoğraf ekledi. Tommy Smith turned 50 in April. With Embodying The Light, therefore, we have to ask what are the characteristics that separate this album from those that have gone before that make it deserving of our attention. I think that question can be answered in one word, integrity. There is an unselfconscious honesty in the way Smith and his ensemble get under the skin of Coltrane’s classic quartet to demonstrate the true spirit of Coltrane’s legacy is not theoretical or technical, but emotional and spiritual.

In the early '90s tenor saxophonist Tommy Smith based his style on John Coltrane (circa 1964-65) but he placed his solos in more contemporary settings and his own individuality was gradually emerging. Certainly Smith's introduction to "The New Road," played on the WX7, sounds unlike anyone else.
