Tetsu Yamauchi eventually went on to join the bands Free and The Faces. The mailing address was my stepfather’s United Press International PO box. Kossoff’s return address is well known to all Free fans, I’m sure. Originally Paul Kossoff had offered to do my second solo album with the Samurai rhythm section or with Simon Kirke (Kossoff’s idea) on drums. My label Atlantic records nixed the idea so I tore up my contract with them and jumped over to Denon Columbia records for my 2nd solo album. I stayed on in Japan in 1971 and recorded Merrill 1 with Yujin Harada on drums.
