Connie Francis Sings Bacharach & David. Connie Francis sings Bacharach & David is studio album recorded by American entertainer Connie Francis. The album features a collection of songs written by the legendary 1960s songwriting duo Burt Bacharach and Hal David. Francis had already begun to work on this project in April 1968 under the musical supervision of Teddy Randazzo, a former fellow high school student.

Connie Francis (born Concetta Rosa Maria Franconero, December 12, 1938) is an American pop singer and top-charting female vocalist of the late 1950s and early 1960s. Although her chart success waned in the second half of the 1960s, Francis remained a top concert draw. Despite several severe interruptions in her career, she is still active as a recording and performing artist.

Burt Freeman Bacharach (/ˈbækəræk/ BAK-ə-rak; born May 12, 1928) is an American composer, songwriter, record producer, pianist, and singer who has composed hundreds of pop songs from the late 1950s through the 1980s, many in collaboration with lyricist Hal David. A six-time Grammy Award winner and three-time Academy Award winner, Bacharach's songs have been recorded by more than 1,000 different artists. As of 2014, he had written 73 US and 52 UK Top 40 hits.

Ogerman's nuanced string arrangements are worthy of Bacharach himself, eloquently conveying the style and sophistication that make these familiar songs so timeless. And while she's no Dionne or Dusty, Francis clearly grasps the substance of David's lyrics, investing readings of "Make It Easy on Yourself," "I Say a Little Prayer," and "Walk on By" with genuine poignancy. An unexpected delight.

Although not really a commercial success, Francis' 1968 album Connie Francis sings Bacharach & David, a portrait of the songwriting collaboration between Burt Bacharach and Hal David had received enough critical praise to repeat the concept. This time, Francis portrayed the work of British composer Les Reed  . Connie Francis: Souvenirs, Booklet of 4-CD-Box, Polydor 1996, Ca.
