Hot Tapes was their debut album, released in mid-2016 which featured 10 funky original songs they referred to as "vapordance". The duo moved to Greenville, South Carolina where they began busking on the street spreading their music and making new fans. They also began meming vaporwave on their YouTube channel, with one video hitting over 1M views. From there the duo was getting booked for local gigs as well as local music festivals. The name Carpoolparty was given new meaning. With The internet AKA the "Information Superhighway", a "Carpoolparty" became the act of everyone traveling said highway together. Their fans became their "internet family. Danny and Mary moved to Los Angeles where they have since been, soaking up the sun and writing new music in a new environment.

Carpoolparty's debut album, "Hot Tapes" has a little bit of everything to offer from their Disco, Vaporwave, Funk and Hip Hop influences. With their debut independent album "Hot Tapes" and their subsequent independent release Internauts EP", Carpoolparty is set to make new releases soon. The trio is yet unsigned and continues to focus on themes of love, life, celebration, relationship struggles, overcoming obsession, and finding belonging wherever one is. On the surface their music is fun, catchy and lighthearted electronic pop but underneath their head-nodding beats lie deeper hidden meanings that the trio claims may lead one to find paradise online.
