The album was recorded and mixed in ten days and was released in September of the same year. tour with Sabbat gave Xentrix a chance to reach bigger audiences and make their mark on the developing . That tour was amazing Macka recalls it was the first time we got to play in Ireland and those gigs at McGonagles in Dublin were F kin insane, the stage diving was menta. it was awesome. BBC radio one’s Friday Rock Show wanted Xentrix to go into their studios in Maida Vale in London and record a session.
In 1991, the band released the Dilute to Taste EP which had two new tracks from the band as well as a live album. The rest of 1991 saw Xentrix headlining a United Kingdom tour, taking out then-new band Skyclad and a return to Hammersmith, this time opening for Brazilian thrash metal band Sepultura. Xentrix also opened for Slayer at the Wembley Stadium. Two more albums and breakup (1992–2004). In 1992, the band decided to take a different direction with their album Kin, adopting a more progressive style with their music, which was considered by many to be the band's biggest mistake. Dilute to Taste (EP) - 1991.

Dilute To Taste' was a bit of a filler EP between the 'For Whose Advantage' and 'Kin' albums. Kin' was a huge departure from it's predecessor, slowing down, simplifying and becoming more moody, a lot like what Metallica did on their infamous fifth album. However, Xentrix weren't following the leader this time. The two studio tracks here show they had already started to head in that direction independently. Pure Thought" and "Shadows Of A Doubt" showed a more mature band, both in lyrical content and song structure. Xentrix showed confidence in themselves to carry a musical theme through a song, and stick with a riff, where in the past they would have taken the easy route and just added a speedy passage.
