Friends is the sixth and final studio album by Australian rock band the Easybeats. It was released in late 1969 as part of the group's new recording contract with Polydor Records. It would be the only album Polydor released of the band as they broke up before its release. In 1969, the group parted ways with their production company Albert Productions and their international record company United Artists Records
Louis" was released 27 June 1969, but failed to chart in the UK, but reached on the Go-Set charts in Australia. In July 1969, it was announced that the working relationship between manager Vaughan and the group had come to an end. To continue their work as songwriters for hire, Vanda and Young took over a flat on Moscow Road in London, which had previously been used as a jingle studio for pirate radio stations. Wright also provided vocals for the album. That same year there was talk of an Easybeats' reunion. Wright told Juke Magazine in 1983 "we had our lawyers working out the deal" because there was a venue interested in having them "but at the last minute they tried to change the venue and we just said 'forget it.

Friends was in fact not a real Easybeats album-the only true Easybeats tracks being "St Louis" and "Rock & Roll Boogie".
