The untitled seventh studio album by German Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein, also referred to eponymously as Rammstein, was released through Universal Music on 17 May 2019. Their first studio album in ten years, it is their first not to be produced by Jacob Hellner; it was instead produced by Emigrate band member Olsen Involtini. The album was preceded by two singles, "Deutschland" and "Radio", the former becoming their second number-one song in Germany. Ausländer" was released as a single on 31 May.

Label: Downwards ‎– DNLP2. Format: 2 Vinyl, 12", 45 RPM, Album. I was fortunate enough to witness REGIS airing some new material in the first few hours of 1998, and must say that KARL O'CONNOR's critics, who have been saying that REGIS had been usurped as flavour of the year in the Hardcore club scene should know that the sound IS maturing. A brilliant metamorphosing set with PETER SUTTON creating washes of keyboard over an insistent non-stop rhythm.

Pre-production for Rammstein’s seventh studio album first began with some low stakes rehearsals and writing sessions back in 2015. What we did in the beginning is we said, ‘Let’s get together and try to come up with three or four songs,' Kruspe said in a recent interview with Metal Wani. We didn’t really put any pressure on us, which was very important at this time.

The side A track is Disease Through Affection, though not the "Delivered into the hands of indifference" version, but the one which appeared on Regis "1" album. The only difference is that this vinyl version here is about thirty seconds shorter than the "1" cut. That aside, it's the Birmingham mono goodness we all love to cherish. A high pitched bleeping hook layed over punishing and rolling percussion. B1 follows the same formula, but doesn't quite cut it. Some more emphasized looped effects going on and on over a steady bass line as marching drum rolls create heavy pressure. Could work as a DJ tool, and an effective one too. Structure wise, it sounds like many other Regis track at the time, but it's isn't as engaging, and the effects, hooks, are not nearly as catchy. B2 is great. In a way, it reminds of Speak To Me, Regis break through masterpiece. It has this hypnotic, almost floating hook, which isn't as stabbing as the synth on Speak To Me, but it creates the same mesmerizing moood and trance like state. If you close your eyes, you will feel the synths freely bouncing from on end of your head to the other. The track is much slower than the last two, even the percussion is toned down in favor of the absolutely dominant synth sequence. It's a great piece for those who liked the lenghty and repetitve early Downwards tracks such as the one I have already mentioned, and maybe Female's Back Lash. Well, since this is a tough one to get hold of, I would suggest digging through some easier to find Regis releases first. Since he recorded plenty of good music around the 1996-1998 era, you will get the general idea, and to a certain extent you will know what to expect here, and whether or not will tracking this one down be worth your effort. Personally, as with virtually any other release by Regis on Downwards, this one is worth owning. Not his strongest, not the baddest & boldest, far from being the hardest, but still vintage techno from the grey country.
