The Roots are an American hip hop band, formed in 1987 by Tariq "Black Thought" Trotter and Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. The Roots currently serve as the house band on NBC's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, having served in the same role on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon from 2009–2014.

Deep Roots is a studio album by Steven Curtis Chapman. Steven Curtis Chapman alongside Cracker Barrel released the album on March 11, 2013. The album was recorded at Beech Street Studios by Brent King and mixed by him along with Sean Moffitt, while the album was mastered by Brad Blackworth from Euphonic Masters.

I have alway swanted to listen to the roots but never got around to i. f anyone has any reccomendations that would be cool. I would say Illadelph Halflife for sure. Black Thought’s lyrics are so dope on that album, and the instrumentals (especially the drum fills) are on point. To me, How I Got Over was fairly forgettable. But none of them are outright bad.

Betty Wright: The Movie. The Beginner's Guide To Understanding The Roots. 2005 Vo. And Vol. 2. The Tipping Point. The Roots Come Alive. Do You Want More?!!!?! The Roots.

The Roots presented their most recent – a raw, head-fuck – album And Then You Shoot Your Cousin in 2014. A short album in length, this album is no less thought-provoking than anything else they had done previously. Maybe not as acclaimed as previous efforts, this is still better than most of this era’s music and is more than worth the rotation. 10. The Tipping Point (2004). Going on a more unconventional musical path, The Tipping Point attempts to continue the musical momentum that.

Legend and The Roots were inspired to record a collaborative album by the 2008 United States presidential election. In an interview for Billboard, Legend explained the album's conception at the time, stating "I was in the middle of campaigning for Barack Obama and feeling inspired by the atmosphere in the country at the time, so I wanted to do something musically. that reflected that moment. The album debuted at number eight on the US Billboard 200 chart, with first-week sales of 63,000 copies in the United States. It also entered at number three on Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Digital Albums charts. In its second week, the album dropped to number 12 on the Billboard 200 and sold.
