Anthology 3 is a compilation album by the Beatles, released on 29 October 1996 by Apple Records as part of The Beatles Anthology series. The album includes rarities and alternative tracks from the final three years of the band's career, ranging from the initial sessions for The Beatles (better known as "the White Album") to the last sessions for Let It Be and Abbey Road in 1969 and early 1970

The third and final Anthology album, Anthology 3 was welcomed. Alternate tracks from The White Album, Let It Be, and Abbey Road. I especially like Paul's demo of Come and Get It, and John's "Let it Be session" revisit of Aint She Sweet, nearly 10 years after the original MGM release. The third and final Anthology album, Anthology 3 was welcomed. Alternate tracks from The White Album, Let It Be, and Abbey Road

Anthology 3 ‎(2xCD, Album, Mono). Apple Records, Apple Records, Apple Records. My Anthology 3 came with free cardboard slip case for the 3 sets. It has the artwork from all three wrapped round from fron to back. I'm pretty sure I got a free poster too.

Anthology 3 is a compilation album by The Beatles released in October 1996 by Apple Records as part of The Beatles Anthology series. The album includes rarities and alternative tracks from the final two years of the band's career, ranging from the initial sessions for The Beatles (also known as The White Album) to the last sessions for Let It Be and Abbey Road in later 1969 and early 1970.

Anthology 3 focuses on the end of the line, 1968-1970 - three years of fragmentation that nevertheless yielded the spectacular, sprawling White Album; Let It Be, the tattered but genuinely affecting product of what Lennon once denounced as the shittiest load of badly recorded shit with a lousy feeling to it ever ; and Abbey Road, on which the Beatles reconvened in better humor. for a glorious and proper bow-out. The Beatles’ genius has never been in doubt, but even young men with godlike talent have bad days. Anthology 3 charts the growth of the individual Beatles, which occurred at the expense of the collective whole until the determined regrouping on Abbey Road. Harrison is the dark horse, finally reaching creative parity with McCartney and Lennon in the purity and melodic strength of the solo demos for Something and All Things Must Pass.

Anthology Vol 3 Toshiba EMI Japan 1996. Sort: Recent best-seller Results cached. This last volume in the Anthology series of Beatles collectors heaven, is actually quite good though I prefer Volume 2. I love the White album alternative versions and this is the best thing about the volume. It is a fantastic experience to hear earlier versions of Happiness Is A Warm Gun (. 5), Helter Skelter (. 8), Mean Mr. Mustard (. 8), Polythene Pam (. 6), Glass Onion (. 1), Piggies (. 1), Honey Pie (. 9), Don't Pass Me By (. 2) and.

The many diverse and brilliant ideas that went into the band’s final two years are chronicled in Anthology 3. Here, you’ll find the song sketches recorded at George Harrison’s house after the group’s trip to India. Many of these became the songs so well known on The White Album and Abbey Road. From Abbey Road Studios to the band’s offices on Savile Row, the musical insights come fast and furious on soulful versions of I’ve Got a Feeling and Oh! Darling. Additionally, you’ll find music from the band’s legendary final rooftop concert and other songs that would appear in later solo efforts.
