Peter Andreas Morén (born 5 May 1976 in Mora, Sweden) is a Swedish musician. He is the guitarist and vocalist of the indie rock trio Peter Bjorn and John. He is also a founding member of the Stockholm-based artist collective INGRID. He was born and raised in Mora and started his musical career playing the violin, which he soon changed to the guitar. His musical interest made him move to the town Västerås, where he entered a high school music programme at the Carlforsska gymnasiet and met Björn Yttling. His third solo album, Pyramiden, was released in late 2012 and is named after the ghost town of Pyramiden as well as referring to the pyramid as a tomb and to abstract concepts such as pyramid schemes.

The Last Tycoon is the debut solo album by Swedish musician Peter Morén of the band Peter Bjorn And John. The album revolves mainly around the theme of adolescence (the track 'This Is What I Came For' is especially autobiographical), though its title is taken from the unfinished The Last Tycoon by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Morén's initial plan was to make a purely acoustic record, but the final product contains elements such as string sections and synthesisers.

Label: Quarterstick Records. Is the name Peter Moren not ringing bells? His first name is well known when accompanied by his bandmates Bjorn and John, but the first solo effort doesn't exude the flippant charms of the "Young Folks. Instead, Peter puts forth a set of fragile folk ballads - his voice right up front in the mix - with guest contributions from members of the Concretes.
