The Soul Purpose, Dangerous Connection & DC2: Bars of Death (2000-2005). 7L & Esoteric released their debut LP The Soul Purpose in the summer of 2001. Upon their return, they recorded and released their second LP in the fall of 2002 entitled Dangerous Connection featuring Jedi Mind Tricks' Stoupe, Vinnie Paz, J-Live, Apathy, and others. After taking a break from recording, the duo released their third LP DC2: Bars of Death in the spring of 2004 with Babygrande Records. In 2006, Esoteric compiled an album entitled "Moment of Rarities" which was also released with Babygrande. This CD was a collection of previously unreleased tracks.

Dangerous Connection. Dangerous Connection. Overall this album is hot and it shows you why the best hip hop comes from the northeast. Philly to Ny to Boston is where the best rap acts come from especially underground and 7l and esoteric repping beantown are proof. 7L and Esoteric have been putting it down for a long minute now, dropping vinyl singles and albums for heads in the know. Since '96, I've been itching to hear this producer/MC duo (they dropped a 12" I wanted to hear back in the day) but being in the south, it's hard to get your hands on underground east coast hip hop.
