It was originally released on 11 January 1993 by Warp. It is the second release in Warp's Artificial Intelligence series. The cover of the album features a photograph of Chapel Porth beach, Cornwall.

Call it ironic that the Aphex Twin's first . album release was under a pseudonym, but given the many names Mr. James has used over the course of his career, perhaps it's just as well.
